BEETROOT SOUP

Soup is the best thing where you can blend variety of vegetables together which results in the healthy and tasty recipe.

Kids are really moody when it comes to the subject of food. Sometimes they will show interest in particular food item,  the another time they will refuse to eat the same thing. In such situations it becomes important to involve those foods in their diet in other delicious ways.

Including vegetables in your children's diet is very good idea as almost all the vegetables are great source of vitamins which are very important for the growth of your child, well functioning of their body and improvement of immunity. 3)  CARROT SOUP

Carrots are very rich source of vitamin A ( Actually it is rich in beta- carotene which is then converted to vitamin A) , potassium,  vitamin K and vitamin B6.

This nutritious fibrous root is very healthy for everyone; and including it in your child's diet will be really beneficial.

The recipe of the carrot soup is described earlier in one of the previous blog posts - 6 perfect baby foods at home.   Here you can replace sweetening agent dates with sugar if your child is older than 9 months. Rest being the same you can add some spice like black pepper as it is anytime better than red chilly when it comes to serving a child.

4)  SPINACH SOUP

Many of us have already know the fact that green leafy vegetables are very beneficial for our good health. They are very rich in vitamins and minerals.

You will get ample amount of vitamin C,  vitamin A and Iron from spinach.  It is also rich in Vitamin B2 and vitamin B6,  B1,  calcium,  phosphorus,  copper,  etc.

As spinach is full of all these vitamins and minerals,  it becomes very essential to include spinach frequently in our diets.  For children,  a very tasty spinach soup recipe is shared.

INGREDIENTS-

1)  Spinach leaves - 12 to 15

2)  Pure ghee - 2 tbsp

3)  Water - 2 cups

4)  Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp

5)  Black pepper powder- 1/4 tsp

6)  Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp

7) Fresh cream - 2 tbsp

8) Grated cheese - 2 tbsp

METHOD-

Many of us already know how to make soups.  But,  the point is that very less people knows the fact that any dish cooked for the children should be as simple as possible with much nutritional benefits.

Regarding the same subject,  many mothers are confused about what to cook and what all ingredients to be added for their children. Read what all healthy and tasty food you can frequently cook for your toddler.

Coming back to the preparation of the spinach soup.  To cook spinach soup,  first of all wash them properly and boil them till they becomes soft.
Let them cool and blend them in a mixer to get a smooth paste.  Keep it aside.

Now get a pan and heat it.  Pour ghee and add all the spices mentioned above.  (I always like to use cumin,  mustard, black pepper and coriander instead of using red chilly powder when cooking for children).

Add ginger and garlic paste immediately to prevent your spices getting burnt. Now mix well and pour the spinach smooth blend in the pan.  Add water and salt; no need of sugar here.

Add fresh cream and grated cheese.  Mix well.  Bring it to boil.  And serve this delicious soup to your kids.  This is the excellent way of including spinach to children's diet.

5)  TOMATO AND CARROT MIX SOUP

Tomatoes and carrots both being very rich in nutrients,  makes a very good combination when cooked to make a soup recipe.

While cooking for kids I personally choose to keep the dish as simple as possible and not to make combinations as possible.  But,  this combination is unique.  It is good for children's health.

The recipe is similar as mentioned above for Tomato soup and Beetroot soup.  Only the thing is you will have to blend tomatoes and carrots together to make a smooth paste.  Quantity of tomatoes will be less as you will add carrots.  Let's take 2 tomatoes and 2 carrots. You can also change the ratio as you like.

This tomato and carrot soup is super 'yummy' and will fill your little one's 'tummy'. If they can speak,  they will ask you to cook frequently for sure.

Hope you like all the recipes. Will be coming with more such healthy and tasty recipes for children. Keep reading my blog posts.
