As soon as your baby reaches 6 months of her tiny age, she needs to be introduced with various food items. At this time new moms are really very confused about what is good for their baby.
Staring with liquids to increasing its consistency as your baby accepts it , mother goes through various food experiments for her little love.
Here are six home made baby foods which are very easy to prepare ; plus your baby will love them.
1)VEGGIE RICE
To make delicious and nutritious veggie rice, you need-
1 tbsp Rice flour (made from washed, dried rice)
1/2 carrot
1/2 tomato
1/2 potato
1 tbsp pure ghee (home made)
METHOD-
To prepare veggie rice, first of all take pure ghee in a pan, add grated carrot, tomato and potato and mix well till the veggies become soft.
Now, add water and let the vegetables cook nicely.
You can add a pinch of salt for taste, but it would be better to avoid adding salt to babies food.
2) SWEET RICE
Sweet rice is loved by babies so much. But as the name suggest, the rice is actually sweet in taste but without adding sugar. So, the ingredient we are adding here for the sweetness of rice are dates
INGREDIENTS-
1) 2 small pieces pumpkin
2) Dates (paste)
3) 2 tablespoon rice flour (home made)
4) ghee
5) 1 cup milk
METHOD-
Take ghee in a pan, add pumpkin grated. Mix till it softens. Add the paste made from dates. Mix well and pour the milk. Stirr the mixture and add rice flour. Mix well and let the rice cook for 5 to 10 min.
Your sweety will love this recipie.
3) WHEAT DELITE
This is very rich in nutrition and also very good in taste.
To make this dish , you need-
1) 1 tbsp wheat flour
2) 1 tbsp pure cow ghee
3) 1/2 cup milk
4) 5 to 6 raisins
METHOD-
To cook this delicious baby food, first of all take ghee in a pan and roast the wheat flour in it. When is becomes golden brown, and you can smell the nice aroma, add smashed raisins and pour milk. Stir well and cook till it slightly thickens.
Let it cool and feed your baby. Your baby will love this dish. 🙂
4) TOMATO UPMA
Tomato upma is very tasty dish which will for sure be loved by your baby. I used to cook it a lot for my child and he ate it all everytime.
INGREDIENTS-
1) Rava or sooji 1/4 cup
2) 1/4 tsp ground mustard seeds
3) 1 tbsp pure ghee
4) 1/4 cup water
5) 1/2 grated tomato
METHOD-
Heat the pan and take ghee in it. Drop ground mustard seeds . Immediately add sooji and roast till it appears golden brown, but take care that it won't get burnt.
Add the grated tomato and stir for some time. Add a pinch of salt ( not more than that because its not good for the baby; so it's optional).
Finally pour water to all the ingredients and stir till it thickens. It's perfectly fine.
5) CARROT SOUP
INGREDIENTS-
1) 1 small carrot grated
2) 1 tbsp pure cow ghee
3) 2 curry leaves
4) 1/4 tsp mustard seeds ground
5) 1/ 2 cut dry date smashed
6) 1/2 cup water
METHOD -
Take ghee in pan, add ground mustard seeds and curry leaves. Then add grated carrot and roast it properly till it softens. Add smashed date and mix well. Date is optional as it is just added for sweetening the dish. Pour water and let it boil till all the grated carrot becomes very soft. Add a pinch of salt only. Again this step is optional. Your baby will love the dish even without a pinch of salt in it.
You can serve the dish as it is to your baby or make it a smooth paste in mixing. Give the liquid soup to your baby. She will love it.
6) APPY RICE
INGREDIENTS-
1) 2 Small apple slices
2) 1/2 cup cooked rice
3) 1/2 cup milk
METHOD-
You can feed your baby with healthy apple this way nicely. Just take milk to boil in a pan add cooked rice and milk to it. Grate well those apple slices and add to the boiling mixture. Stir well till all the mix softens nicely. Try to smash it or you can even blend it in few starting days.
